NOW Committee
The NOW committee consist of anyone from the church who like to help plan events at East Jordan. We decide on dates, time, and what we want to do. We then tell Ad council what we have planned and it is carried out.

Women's Gathering
All women are invited to be a part of this group at East Jordan. Typically we meet on the third Sunday morning of each month in the Fellowship Hall at 8am to share a breakfast meal. The U.M.Men's group meets at the same time in an adjacent area of the partitioned room; we do share the food with them!

After discussion of any business at hand, we women watch an inspirational DVD message. We are fortunate to have enjoyed breakfast with a variety of "Women of Faith" speakers whose presentations can make us laugh as well as cry. There is always a deeper lesson to be learned from listening to their stories of real life faith.

One of the acquired tasks of the women's group is to prepare and serve a hot meal luncheon for families and friends attending funeral services that are held at East Jordan.

Another main event the women's group assists with is the Farm Heritage Festival that is held in late August at East Jordan. We help prepare and/or serve breakfast and lunch, assist with the ice cream stand, or help out in other areas as needed.

Men’s Gathering
East Jordan has a chartered UMM fellowship that exists to provide a small group environment for the men of the church. The fellowship meets once a month usually on the third Sunday at 8am for a breakfast meeting where one of the men and his wife provide a hearty hot breakfast which is shared with the women’s fellowship. Devotions are read and discussed and a business meeting is conducted. Mission and ministry are a big part of the fellowship.

Donations are made to a variety of causes which include Habitat for Humanity, Coats for Kids, Strength of Service booklets for service men and women, Salvation Army, potatoes purchased for area food pantries and more. Other activities include an opportunity to attend Spiritual Congress at Lake Geneva in Wisconsin, golf outings, Easter and Christmas breakfasts open to the entire church congregation and friends, and fundraisers which include a breakfast in the spring for the public and the Farm Heritage Festival held in the late summer which features an antique farm show which showcases farming practices and working machinery of days gone by with food and fun for the whole family. This even is seen as an evangelistic tool to present a spiritually minded atmosphere on the church grounds for the day.
